I am seeking an internship for the summer in New York City. I am currently entering my junior year at The Pennsylvania State University, pursuing a degree in Advertising with a minor in Business and have always had a desire to work in a prospering Advertising agency. I will be available to work from June 1st until August 1st.  An internship involving Advertising or Marketing would be an excellent fit given my training at The Pennsylvania State University. I am a hard-working, witty, conscientious student who will only settle for what depicts my greatest abilities. I am often commended for my great interpersonal skills and excellent problem solving strategies, which are necessary for a company dealing with clients on a daily basis. In addition, my participation with the Penn State Advertising Club has given me the privilege to attend presentations and panel events featuring professionals from regional agencies, stimulating my desire in Advertising and Media as well as giving me the opportunity to network with other organizations. Furthermore, due to my performance at the university I have been accepted into the Penn State College of Communications with a focus in Advertising, which has been ranked among the top fourteen undergraduate public communication schools in the country.   My ideal career for the future would be to work in a media agency. I want to be involved in formulating strategies based on consumers’ actions, figuring out where to place ads in order to connect with the desired target market, resulting in satisfaction for both the clients and the company who I am working for. However, as I stated earlier in this segment, I am only entering my junior year in college, so any sort of experience within the Advertising or Marketing field would be extremely beneficial to me. I am eager to have the opportunity to learn about many divisions within this field, whether or not it is directly relevant to my ideal job.  I anticipate that this letter, as well as the resume that follows, will shed light on my qualifications and my desire to learn from and work for you.
